SainT AnDrEws RUGBY--> CAMP

2nd-4th june. i was not actually very excited about the camp at first. i thought. oh damn 2 days of no warcraft! T_T but i was so wrong. 2nd june, thursday. i went to school at 730 in the morning. most of the people were there. so we just chit chatted around whilst waiting for the coaches to arrive. they arrived soon enough and we packed all the provisions needed for the camp. we basically had "rations" whereby a group of 7 will have a sack of food and we have to spread it over 3 breakfast 2 lunches 1 dinner. so we had to learn how to manage the food in such a way that we will not get hungry. we went to labrador park for our camp. for those who knows where it is, u must be thinking whaT?! labrador park is not meant to be a campsite! actually we cannot pitch tents there by the coaches just said if the ranger comes just tell him that we are having "night activities" which is sleeping. it was a team bonding camp. we played games that needed a whole team to do it and we learnt how to encourage each other, and all the other kinds of team qualities. for example we had to jump over a skipping rope together and although we failed many times, we encouraged each other and finally, we managed to skip the stupid rope. in the afternoon, we went for the only rugby training within the whole duration of the camp. the training started at 330. we first practised our 1 on 1, 2 on 1 defense patterns. whoa even though the training is gawd damn tough, we got ice cold water which obviously lessened the impact of the training on us. training went on till 730. the worst part about it was the team run. whereby we kept on dropping the ball and kept having to do 10 burp-ups at a time. we did about 60. i also must admit that i am also scared of catching the ball for fear of dropping it and incurring the whole team's blame =(. anyways.. we recaptured the art of going into a scrum. i am playing the "loose prop" position and i now know how to go into a scrum well such that we will win the scrum. at night i didnt stay over though. i went back home and took a shower and went straight to bed.

3rd June 2005. i left my house at 700 i went to eat breakfast together with my family and then i made my way down to labrador park. i took an mrt from serangoon to harbourfront and from there i took bus 100 to labrador park. but at the bus stop, a magazine caught my eye. the cover was Jolin Tsai in a very how would i put it.. sexy? pose and it was i zhou kan. anyways since it was only $2 i just bought it, somemore got ticket to send to 933 chart arr.. dont buy is waste. lolz. after flipping through the magazine i saw a promotion whereby it is a lucky draw and i can win seats to the 933 concert. so i sent it in.. now im hoping for the best =))) anyway after alighting from the bus 100, i took a walk to labrador park. damn was it long or what man. at least 1km and UP SLOPE!?!? reaching the camp site, i was damn tired but i still joined the rest of the team in doing striding. thereafter we went to the nearby slope and started sprinting up it.
vey tiring but helpful for building up big muscles. we then ate breakfast bought by a rarely kind mr jonathan leow. after that, we played many team games. we played volleyball! lolZ. we also played a game called electric fence whereby everyone has to get over a 90cm high rope without touching it and cannot crawl underneath. we accomplised it through sheer teamwork. we were all sastified with what we have acheived. but 1 thing, is that i realised that through the camp, i have becomed more bonded with people i did not bond with before, for example, ahmad. rico, calvin and a lot more. anyways thats was basically how i spent the day, doing team activities. i will never regret having gone to this camp. simply put if i have to describe it in one word, i would describe it as "UNFORGETTABLE"
